Fox News Idiot -- The response from Amsterdam!

In the U.S. we have this far right winged network called, Fox News. Its full of idiots, like Bill O'Reilly spouting fear and propaganda about every subject in the world and trying desparately to twist and lie their way to go against the rest of the world (its America dammit! We RULE!) and hurt any progressive idea that comes to surface in this country by the progressives. Anyway,  recently this moron said some things about Amsterdam.  This is the Youtube from soomeone back to him.  He uses facts. O'Reilly, like the rest of that so-called network, twists and lies.  Good for Holland!

Good stuff there.  Bill O'Reilly is a windbag and I can't believe how many people take him seriously.  What he's good at is shouting people down, lying about things and distorting what people say.  When people go on his show to argue against him if they start making good points he has their mics cut off.  Anyone can win an argument if you cut the other guy's mic off if he makes a good point.

Basically Bill-O says that Amsterdam Holland is a rotting cesspool of crime, drugs and prostitution because it drugs and prostitution are legal over there.  Than they show some stats that a bigger percentage of the US population has tried marijuana than of the Dutch.  Than Bill-O says that since it's legal over there it's a magnet for "those kind of people."  Than they talk to some American tourists in Amsterdam who talk about how safe they feel walking down the street, how everyone leaves each other alone and they aren't worried about being the victim of a crime, unlike in the US.

Thanks!  Yeah, it's kinda funny watching that side of the table when it comes to this.  They think that "OMG! Drugs, alcohol, prostution, teh secks iz dee ebil!!!1!!" when in reality the bans on them in the US is what is fueling most of our crime. Good on Holland for setting the record straight.

Amsterdam is one of the best cities I've been to. At no stage did I feel threatened or unsafe. There are so many interesting things to see. The coffee shops and sex shows are only one small part. There is a lot of history and interesting things to see too, like Anne Frank's house, and the van Gough museum which were great. The sex shows...well they're good for a laugh, but I won't be rushing back to them. Pretty boring really.
