 I've always liked Skype, but almost never use the webcam portion of it. Seemingly msn is the forum standard

None? I often find myself texting on the phone or using the normal message feature of facebook (as compared to its instant messenger).

I use both MSN and Skype. But I think Skype is by far the best one. It has better image quality for video chatting as well.
