Sauvie Clothing optional beach also known as Collins beach on Columbia River is located about half hour from downtown Portland Oregon.

I finaly decided to visit this beach after visit with my sister in portland.  It was either this beach or rooster rock.  This won, rooster rock awaits another time.
Not to many nude beaches you can enjoy majestic sight of two volcanos, Mt St Helons and Mt Hood.  The beach is nice with sand.  Since its on river there no crashing waves which makes for great swimming.  That said this beach attracts many people of all ages and sexes.  Young adults are plentiful along with older adults who forgot they are older.  You will see people playing volleyball, kayaking water sking, tanning and tied up party boats.  People are nice but wont disturb you.

This is great beach better impression than Haulover beach.  If you do come bring insect repelant.  As far as facilities there port a potties , parking(need to buy parking permit) and vollyball couts.

Sounds really cool. Going to add to a list of places to see before I die.

That would be true for Portland area.  Though winters as whole are generaly mild, and palm trees do grow in Portland.  Though its no different than most of the USA, where water activities are summer time.  Not all the USA is like florida,

Anycase beach was nice

This year I went to two beaches for the first time. I had a few good experiences and a few bad ones haha but I guess that just the way this goes. The beaches I attended were Collins and Rooster Rock. I like collins much more! I would highly suggest it if your in the area!

There are some good people at Rooster rock but quite a few pervs :(
As for Collins it is much more family friendly.
I felt safer at Collins and its nice to be safe while naked :P
Both were quite busy this year!
