xkcd - "A webcomic of romance, sarcasm, math, and language"

Goblins - DnD Goblins start taking levels as player characters, an interesting take on good vs evil from the side of the supposedly evil side. Never played DnD in my life, but the comic's excellent. Visual style starts a bit poor but massively develops later on.

Cyanide and Happiness - Shouldn't laugh but I always do.

Phoenix Requiem - Victorian supernaturalism

Gone with the Blastwave - post-apocalyptic war spoof

Vexxarr - hugely witty, very funny. Story of an amorphous alien and his psychotic AI companions sent to conquer Earth

Menage a 3 - pretty funny, webcomic about a nerdy guy who suddenly ends up with two very sexual female flatmates

mspaint Adventures - new one's not that good IMO but the Problem Sleuth adventure's fantastic.

I don't know if it's me, but every time I read Loxie and Zoot/Bare Pit, I always imagine them speaking with an American accent even though the comic takes place in Australia.  Great comic though.  Some other comics I read

Other way round for me entirely. I loved the pun-filled wordplay of Problem Sleuth :(

I love Loxie and Zoot (aka The Bare Pit).  I wish there were more like it.

I've been reading these myself recently. Very warm and gentle humour but rather preachy. Fantastic artwork. I was wondering what people specifically liked about them and whether the fact that it was a naturist cartoon was the main appeal. I can't deny though that it paints quite a nice idyllic lifestyle.

It might be idyllic, but I think it is the kind of life most naturists pine for.

I've never really been into comic books (or graphic novels), and it was the naturist angle that attracted me to this one, but once I read a couple of them I was hooked.  Now I get a little anxious whenever there's a delay in posting the next episode.

I love "the bare pit" webcomic, and im exactly the same. I cant wait to see what happens next!!  :56789

Then I hope you won't take too badly the news that there won't be regular updates anymore once the current story is over.

Stephen has issues with the pressure and will now release the stories all at once when they are done.

Homestuck and Problem Sleuth on MS Paint Adventures, Order of the Stick on Giant in the Playground, Dinosaur Comics on qwantz, and Gunnerkrigg Court are the comics I have to say I enjoy the most. The first three might have some of a gaming niche appeal going for them (Homestuck least of all) though I'd say they're all great even without familiarity with some of the targets of the jokes. Gunnerkrigg Court is probably something anyone who can enjoy fantasy can appreciate, and Dinosaur Comics is just wonderful in its special way.

There's some more I check whenever I remember, like Hark a Vagrant! (history based humour) and Nedroid Fun Times (good-hearted and odd), as well as some others I know I'm forgetting, but the first list is the ones I check even when I know there hasn't been an update. I think my subconscious just wants to make sure.

It's discontinued but the Perry Bible Fellowship is one of the funniest things I've ever read, comic or otherwise.

You'll be glad it has been updated from discontinued to very rarely updated. Sometimes, he gets the itch to draw a new one.

A friend just tipped me off to The Meek.  It has four chapters up so far, and might take a night or two to read through.  The artwork and coloring a really pretty, and the characters are so expressive!  As a plus for readers here, one of the main characters doesn't wear much!

Enjoy!

Just checked out the first chapter. It seems to be headed in an interesting direction and it's nice to see nudity being used more naturally in comics that aren't in the porn/erotica genre. Not that I necessarily take an issue with use of nudity there either. I hope it helps break down a barrier for use of nudity in the medium without the use of random objects, steam, word bubbles, etc. covering certain parts.
