Ok, so I know most people know about D&D, but does anyone out there have other RPG Tabletops that they like to play?
I personally like World of Darkness, the mechanics are simple, the character sheets are quick, and the story doesn't run the risk of gettign buried in stats like others do. The focus is more on actual role-playing and telling a story, then it is about experience and leveling up.

Every system (d10, d20...), which means every RPG can be story focused or combat focused, it depends on people who play it. I prefer d20 system, D&D 3.5 and Pathfinder, over other systems.

I've been playing D&D for many years now, and even helped play test the new 5th Edition of D&D (which was a lot of fun!).  Sadly, at the moment, I do not have much time for tabletop RPG games.  My scholastic studies require my full attention.  I hope to get back to D&D again after I graduate though.

i recently just got into this just this new yr and i really had fun with it. it was Arcadia Quest and i never had so much fun. the hard part was just setting up the board but once we got it going i was hooked and wanted more. it had both pve and pvp elements which i really liked and it probably will be my favorite. the designs for the characters were really goofy and fun to look at since my main man Leeroy is my fav. piece.



looking into Hero Quest i see it shares some of the basic fundamentals of Arcadia Quest but most likely Hero Quest came before AQ. so i wonder what what elements does HQ have?

Hero Quest is very similar to D&D in regards to all your actions per turn and someone playing the Dark Wizard / Dungeon Master but a little less in depth. It is pretty old. Started in the 80's and ceased production in the ealry / mid 90's I think?

Have any of you heard of a streamed show called Critical Role? If you haven't, it's a group of nerdy voice actors gathering for a D&D campaign. The cast consists of (in order of appearance):

When I was younger, we used to play the board game Dungeon Quest.  Spent many happy hours fighting with those characters. And we even bought th expansion pack, Catacombs.

I think the Star Wars rulesset is much easier to get than D&D. Once you get used to D&D mechanics, other systems will be easier to understand (mostly). It depends on the rulesset. Which version are you playing?

5e. I understand it's the most streamlined version and easiest to get into out of the various versions. I tried looking at the 3.5 rules once and got totally lost. What's the star wars ruleset?
