No need for protective cups, except the goalie, who has a whole protective gear (helmet, knee pads, cup, "breastplate"). But field players usually don't use any protection. Floorball is normally a sport with very few contacts, moreover we're not allowed to lift the sticks too high and the ball is quite small and light, so playing as a field player doesn't require any particular protections.
Of course getting touched by a shot isn't the most pleasant thing on earth
, but the pain is very transient (a few seconds) and quite weak. The only protection that field players might use is protective glasses like those used for squash (but most players just don't use any).
