Best Vampire Movies
« on: August 13, 2009, 08:18:57 pm »
Since there has been talks of vampire movies on Kez's intro, I though I should make a topic aboot it. Just pick your favourite vampire films and say why. It's a tough chocie for me but I went with the underworld series. 30 days of night does have a kick-ass feature of their own language! But Kate Beckinsale it tight leather costume and nice fights takes the win for me

Bram Stokers Dracula is still one of my all time favs.  I bought the special edition just a little while ago.  In respect for when the book was published all the special effects in the movie were completely manual... Absolutely zero digital editing, amazing.

aw you made me a thread! yay!

i have to say i really like Underworld series for kind of action/fighty vampire films and i agree Kate Beckinsdale is awesome as a heroine.

for more moody stuff i like Interview with the Vampire (i cant believe thats Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt tho!) and altho i preferred the book i kind of liked Queen of the Damned (book is way better tho).

i liked 30 days of night too cos it was so eerie and mysterious.

anyone seen Let the Right One In?  i really want to but i havent yet.
Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are...

That's one of the funniest horror movies of all time! Weta workshop boys playing up after all that work on 'Lord of the Rings'. I liked 'Interview with a Vampire' too as well as Bram Stokers 'Dracula'.

Haven't seen 'Underworld' yet, but would like too when I get time.

I'm going to go with "From Dusk 'Till Dawn" which also happens to be one of my favorite movies as well.  It's just a fun 1970s style drive-in, shoot-em-up movie.

Oops I forgot about that one. Talk about changing course part way through a movie. That tavern scene comes from waaay out of left field. It's seriously wierd, but brilliant at the same time.

Let the right one in. Classic! So amazing and it's a real vampire, not a twilight vampire

I am by no means a vampire expert or huge fan of any sort. Anything but Twilight gets my vote. Vampires should not be a bunch of glittering drama queens.

As one demotivational poster I read, "The story of one girl's choice between necrophilia and bestiality."
