La Chiappa - Village in the south of Corsica - in Porto-Vecchio

In 2004 and 2007 my parents and me made our holyday trip to La Chiappa - Village.
This place is visited by many German- and Frenshspeaking and not so many English-speaking people.
The bungalow arrangements and camping areas and also the belonging to it beaches are very clean here.
As almost everywhere in France this arrangement is to be called not exactly inexpensive.
The weekly costs amount to about 1300 Euros with 5 people.
Result: This arrangement is very nice, but is also very expensive

And now a few details to the resort

In the middle of a vast protected zone, in the south of Corsica, in Porto-Vecchio, is the vacation village without clothing of La Chiappa, of a surface of 65 hectares, where no cars are allowed, with a 3 km coastline alternating range of sand and rocks...


The village offers a large choice of  BUNGALOWS  of various categories.  The price, size and installation depend on the category. The bungalows all are independent the ones of the others. They all are almost provided with a bathroom (WC, sink, shower) as well as a kitchenette with a covered terrace. The majority of the bungalows have a  sight on the sea. Their position in the middle of the trees preserves a certain intimacy. The bungalows are cleaned once per week.


The park Camp-Site, vast and very undulating, offers a multitude of arranged or wild sites, sunny or shaded places, close or away from the sea ... that you will choose yourself,  for caravan, mobil home, and tents.
 The Community sanitary facilities cover very well the whole of the park. They all are to the European safety standards and all recent (hot water, wash-hand basins and showers, washing machines, refrigerator cell, electric spots).


Restaurants
Two restaurants located on the beaches of the village, a unspoilable view on the Cerbicales islands and Sardinia...
Offers for all the tastes and at all the prices...

The Bar-Plage :
They propose there a rich and varied chart, a consequent choice of entries, dishes, specialities and desserts. It is a Mediterranean kitchen containing fresh and local products. In addition to the menu, you will have the choice between snack bar formulas at lunch time (bruschetta, kebab, hamburger...)and our grills and pizza pies “Italian way” in the evening.
But also a different suggestion each day. You will have the possibility of dishes to be carried away.

The Bar-Plage:
remains open all the afternoon and proposes, in addition of drinks, a choice of ices, frozen cuts and home made desserts.    

The Cerbicales :
one accommodates you there starting in the morning for breakfast. Then the restaurant remains open continuously. In addition to the chart, they are menus, formulas and various suggestions , also panini and crepes. In the evening, roasted fish and meat on the wood fire are required...
The Cerbicales is also a large counter with cordial environment where one appreciates to find oneself for aperitif...

Sports and Activities
Programs of sports and animations are renewed each week and each host has the possibility of occupying himself according to his desires, without never having a feeling of constraint.

A Tennis School : With 5 courts (2 synthetic and 2 quick) and a central court, a wall for training, 40 m long. lessons: particular or in group. Tournaments are organized regularly during the summer.

A Ranch : Walks with horse through the maquis and at the edge of water.

A sailing school : Hiring of windsurfing boards, sailing boats, catamarans, canoes.  Collective and individual classes.

Courses of Gymnastics : soft gym, aerobics, stretching, aqua-gym, step....

A Diving school : baptisms, special courses for children, exploration for all levels with professional instructors, night diving, preparation and passing of diploma: SSI - Scuba Schools International, CMAS, FFESSM .

Mini-Club : for the childrens (4 and over).

Massages : Hubert will propose to you various kinds of  massages (sporting, relaxing...) but also various therapy for your well-being (shiatsu, thalgo envelopment, aromatherapy, plantar reflexology...).
   
Each day a different sporting tournament is organized (July and August). Everyday,  football , volleyball and bowls games are improvised.

The village also has an outside space for Fitness and body-building,  a Finnish Sauna, an Olympic Swimming pool, a basin for the children, grounds of volley ball , football and bowls, tennis tables, an Health  Course of 13 tackle out of 2,5 km with the centre even of the village...

And for those looking for quiet activities, an art workshop  with  silk painting, library, access to Internet, and a mini-golf.

Sun-bathing and walking :
 in la Chiappa, it does not matter that there is a lot of people or not,  because you will always find a multitude of places to be alone with the noise of the waves...
On foot, there are kilometres of coasts, along a wild nature, which you will appreciate to discover...

The naturist vacation village of Chiappa is located on a peninsula, 15  minutes from Porto Vecchio...

Lisa, this is exactly the type of report we love!!  Thankyou for such detail.  Looks definately, like a place Id love to go to, and you are right -- it is rather costly..still, camping would be ok with a van full of members here!

Hi, I was there last summer with my son.
The bungalows are clean, but very old and not renoved, the roof is in eternit.
The camping doesn't have pitches well defined, but everyone puts his tent everywhere, and often they are very very close, no privacy at all. 
most of the people go around with clothes, except beach and swimming pool where the nudity is quite respected.
There are 2 beaches but the sand isn't natural, with little pebbles. there's a very nice swimming pool. most of the activites are for a fee, the only restaurant is very expensive. in the evening nothing happens, no music (except, maybe 1 evening weekly), no lights, everything looks like dead. perfect place for couples, very romantic, but a cemetery for young people or families, we were very bored.
There is a nice scuba diving center and windsurf but no clue about price.
Definitely, if you don't like that and you're not a young/old couple searching intimacy, I don't recommend this place, quite uncomfortable to reach it (boat + at least 3/4 hours by car from bastia, with speed limit 80/90 km/h, just 1 way that crosses the island from north to south.

Sounds like the whole place could do with a make over, shame when people don't keep these places up to date.. To keep peoples interest in going.

Yes, everything stayed like 20 years ago, and it's a shame because the place has a great potential.
