I have a mountain bike and sometimes take it off-road, just out in the country though, nothing too serious!

um yes... maxxis is a tire maker ...
We were speaking about tires on earlier posts lol, that why we got confused ...

If your lookin for a new bike, i would suggest you to look at Giant bikes
Biggest bike manufacturing company in the world, and you always get a lot more for your dollar than other brands ..
hope that helps

That does actually. I didn't see where you guys had stopped talked talking about the bikes and started talking about the tires.
But I figure if the tires are $45 a piece, the bike is going to be more expensive than what I want to spend at this point. It would be cheaper to fix mine.

it really depends on what type of bike you want, but generally speaking, around the 400 to 500 range you can rally have a great bike.

like a performance hydrid or a hardtail mtb ...

To be honest, that's way outside of my price range at the moment. I have a bike that I can borrow if I really get into the mood to go mountain biking, though it will need tires and such. But that's a lot cheaper than buying a bike. It really isn't a great bike, but I don't go a lot of places that would require anything built too heavily.
