Naked concerts?
« on: July 16, 2012, 02:43:56 am »
Has anyone been to a concert at a venue that condoned nudity? I think that would be a very fun experience, especially in the summer with a light drizzle!

That mosh pit could end badly.

Assuming no pit, sounds like fun!
The last three days, the rain was unstoppable. It was always cold, no sunshine.

Yes.  I went to RAW @ Caboolture which was held at Pacific Sun Friends in April 2005.  Had a great time, but it didn't get a large turnout because the organiser forbade people under 18, cameras, and single males.  He only relented to the latter a couple of days before the event, but this didn't do much to get people interested.  They were mainly targeting people aged between 18 - 30, but only got a handful of people in this age range to the event.  Fortunately they managed to recoup the costs involved with the sale of the DVD, which put more focus on the body painting contest and interviews with the organisers and a couple of attendees than on the music itself.

I ended up making friends with a couple of the punters, and last year we organised The Bare Heart fundraiser photo-shoot.

I go camping at a nudist campground and they bring in outside entertainment acts all the time.  They just had a band called Cazhmiere, play on July 7th, which is a big party band from West Virginia.  The played on the deck by the pool and the whole camp was there to watch them, some nude some scantily clad.  It was pretty fun dancing and enjoying the band while nude.  I'm pretty sure the band liked it to.  I think it would be great to actually have some nude concert venues out there.  I would love to see Lords of Acid, in that type of environment, since their music is very sexually charged and explicit sometimes. :L998877

I went nude at a rave before.  A rave is a type of concert.  I've also been to concerts where bodypainting happens, but it's always people getting their top halves painted and keeping some sort of bottoms on.

Might I suggest heading to a Florida Young Naturists bash? They have live music, camping, fun and all that you could hope for.

Apparently there was a fair amount of nudity at Woodstock in 1969.

I've been to concerts where nudity happened, but it was mostly about exhibitionism, flashing and groping.

Apparently there was a fair amount of nudity at Woodstock in 1969.

Also the 1969 Woodstock concert's nudity was pretty well known for being pretty nonsexual.  The documentary "Woodstock" featured parents skinny dipping with their kids.  I've heard that Bonaroo is known for the same kind of casual nudity since it's a hippy themed concert that's in the same tradition.
