I have recently joined and another member local to me has just PM'd me. I can't reply though!

Is it long before the PM function becomes available to me? I don't want the other member to think I'm being rude by not responding..

Regarding the question why people can message you, we had discussed removing that functionality to avoid confusion, but decided to keep the "receive messages" feature enabled to allow new users to get administrative messages. Sorry for any confusion that may arise because of that.

Just out of curiosity, how would I find my sent messages?
