Mad Max: Fury Road

It was extremely derivative of Burning Man - aesthetically almost everything in the movie was at BM in 2013 - either the artists that made the movie were there taking notes or those were the vehicles and costumes that were there. Bizarre. Good movie but the resemblance was distracting. I hope they were the artists otherwise they pulled off one hell of a rip-off.

Not especially deep nor a lot of character development - just like the originals - straight up action. I like how they rekindled (reignited?) the franchise and provided just enough of a character link (Max's flashbacks) to make it recognizable to fans of the originals.

Hopefully there will be more to come.

Finally saw Ant-Man this weekend. I loved the opening scene for the connection to other Marvel movies and all of the humor with Thomas the Tank Engine toward the end.
