Independence Day: Resurgence.

This was an alright film.  Lots of over-the-top CGI sequences as I expected.  Some problems I did have was with the characters leading this vehicle.  I only seemed to care about the characters that returned from the 1996 film and the new leads did nothing for me.  Another was the explanation of the line of succession of the US presidency.  I won't give away much beyond that, but there was something unrealistic about this particular thing.

To me, the whole movie seemed unrealistic. Of course, it's an action/Science fiction film, but just seemed more like a Michael Bay movie. Just lot's of action, with over the top CGI and not much of a story. This movie did nothing for me. It should have stayed as how the first one ended. I do agree on the point you made from the actors from the first film. Good to to see them again.
