I went retro today and yesterday and watched Escape from New York/Escape from L.A. while having breakfast.  I had never seen them, but always wanted to.  Good schlocky fun.  The older one (New York) aged a lot better than the newer one because it was just old enough to miss all the bad 90s cgi effects that L.A. had.  But L.A. was 10x as ridiculous and over the top (in a good way), so it sort of evens out.
