I was at the premier in NYC and the afterparty. What did you think of it?

I recently saw the first lord of the rings movie, directors cut, with a friend. I know people love that movie but I found it incredibly boring lol

I liked it but felt like it was dragging on for a bit (don't think Chalamet was necessary 💀). They weren't really subtle with relating it to our current state, so that's probably why it's getting mixed reviews (personally, liked that about it). Loved the credits scene and post credits. lol

It would be impossible for someone not to get the analogy to global warming and the panDAMNic.

I’m surprised by how many people liked no way home, different tastes but I thought it was mediocre at best. The plot mainly seemed to be almost entirely in service of memes and references to old movies, and I just don’t think that makes for a good movie. Like it almost seemed to trivialize the older movies, and tonally it was very back and fourth, but I won’t go into that to avoid spoilers

Christmas day tv was absolutely garbage so I watched home alone and home alone 2 lost in new York.

It was certainly pretty dire more than usual this year. I did see the last hour of Mary poppins returns wish I hadn’t missed the beginning just because I wanted to see what it was like. My mam didn’t like the new actor in Julie Andrews’ place but that’s to be expected when you recast such an iconic character.

Watched Spider-Man: No Way Home, and despite some plot holes I found after the movie ended. I really enjoyed the movie, had all sort of emotions and it was quite good!

Just finished "Act Naturally" today. Great film!

Got like half way through Matrix Resurrections and had to quit.  It was very shallow and all the little meta winks weren't doing it for me.  Some early movie dialog makes me think the Wachowskis were only making this thing cause Warner Bros forced em to.

Watched Don't look up on NYE. Was a good film and I don't want to ruin it for anyone but the ending is kind of nice and most here would appreciate it.
