Hiding smilies?
«

I was wondering if there was any way I could remove all the emoticons from my post "drafts". They seem to take up a lot of space...
Sorry if this has been asked before or is easy to do and I'm overlooking it.

The only way I know of would be to turn of smilies for good. That would unfortunately mean that no smilies are shown at all, the ones posted by others being replaced by their codes, which can be quite cryptic.

Install the AdBlock extension for your browser (
Google Chrome
; I don't know how it works in Firefox, but it shouldn't be too difficult), and add this rule on a new line at the end of your filters (in the "Customize" tab):

Thanks for the response guys! I guess it looks like I'll be seeing the emoticons/GIFs, seeing I'm using an iPad with safari, but that's okay. I'll get over it. Thanks again for the help!

We do have too many smilies I think. It would help if we could at least reduce the dimensions of some of the larger ones. If the following were scaled down it would be much more compact and less distracting:

This may be a little off topic for this thread, but I was kind of surprised about some of the similes on here. For a site that otherwise seems to be a true nudist site (not smutty), it seems that some of the smiles are kind of not going with the true nature of the site (for a lack of better wording). Here are some examples…

They are just there to be silly. We do not support porn exchange on here, but we are not prudes either.

I would also like to wade into the inappropriate similies debate ...
"Whip" "quickie" "flash boobs" and "LetsFuk"?
When would anyone on here ever use any of those?

Our entire smilie collection is pure silliness.
