Is creativity better in the nude?

Probably try and take online classes. i wonder if anyone would ever do a thesis on that, how learning the same curriculum nude v.s. clothed and how that would affect test scores at the end of the class.

I had an older nudist once tell me that nudist kids did slightly better on sat's but I wouldn't know how to find where he got that info at.

Coincidentally, I was writing nude just the other day when I started my history paper (the end of which still eludes me). I don't think it made any difference to the quality of my work, or the ease with which I wrote, but at least I was comfy!

 I agree as being nude makes you more comfortable and relaxes your mind. Maybe with lady gagga being nude makes her more confident

Well, Victor Hugo (Les Mis) wrote nude, but apparently he had a servant take his clothes so he'd have nothing to do but write.
James Whitcomb Riley (poet) did the same so he wouldn't go to the bar.
Edmond Rostand (Playwright, and poet) did it so no one would interrupt him

Hemingway wrote nude, standing up (which obviously find to be the odd part). Also his cousin founded a nudist club in the UK.
DH Lawrence (Lady Chatterley's Lover) "liked to climb mulberry trees, in the nude, before coming down to write."
And Agatha Christie apparently wrote nude as well.

I would say it helps your sense of creativity. I have done assignments in the nude before and it has made me feel much more relaxed and do a much better job and focus more.

I'm working on a novel and have done the majority of my writing in the nude. I just feel much more relaxed, less distracted and more human, so I'm able to connect to the art on a much purer level, if that makes sense.

I fortunately work from home designing, creating, making vinyl decals for my customers. I don't know if I do better because I am nude or because I am more comfortable I do better.

Neat article!  On that subject, I do think creativity is generally better in the nude.  It's hard to describe but it's like you can concentrate better.  Fewer distractions (clothes) to keep your mind wandering off of whatever project you are working on.  I also find that studying in the nude is much easier as well.

So did Mark Twain, James Joyce, Marcel Proust and Truman Capote. Charles Simic does, too.
Would their work be even better if they stripped down completely?

Yeah Ummm... Churchill was famous for being naked in bed. While staying at the White House Roosevelt burst into his room and found him starkers on his bed enjoying the morning sun. Roosevelt was very apologetic but Churchill said something to the effect of - Nonsense. The Prime Minister of Great Brittain has nothing to hide from the President of the United States.

As for creativity... It can't hurt!

I noticed I do a lot of thinking/planning in the shower. I don't know if its just because my mind gets bored or because my "naked creativity" is flowing.
