Best Captain: Jean Luc Picard

First Officer: Spock

Security: Malcom Reid from Enterprise (No Delta, you weren't the only one who loved it lol)

Doctor: The Emergency Medical Hologram from Voyager.

Chief Engineer: Montgomery Scott.

Helmsman: Tom Paris.

Villain: Nero (Really liked him as a villian. Ship had Borg tech on it, red matter from Spock's ship, and could wreck planets.....epic)

Worf is a complete wimp who'd lose a fight against a kitten. He's a terrible choice for security.

Pffft, mostly out of context.

Worf lost 75% of the fights he's ever been in on screen.

There's even a trope named after him (The Worf Effect) that consists of having your supposed badass being beaten by the creature of the week to show it's really strong.

Worf did lose many fights, true, but at the same time, you made a point for me.  The creatures were always extraordinarily strong, and Worf usually being the strongest available to test it against, he was the only one usually able to fight them without dying or receiving serious injuries.

Given how often he was beaten by his own crew I wouldn't say he was the strongest one. And when everything you meat is stronger than you, you can't be qualified as strong. In TNG, Worf being a badass is merely an informed ability (we're told but never showed).

I admit he gets better in DS9.

A lot of the times he was "beaten" it was often because he was holding back and reluctant to fight them, for one reason or another.

If he could have prevailed but didn't, he showed terrible judgement then. You can't protect your crew when beaten nearly to death. And it's not a good situation to find you yourself in anyway.

I'm not saying he was the do-all end-all of badassery.  But claiming that he was a complete wimp and a horrible security officer is an argument doomed to failure, given that in the end, he still did just as good of a job protecting his crew and ship as anyone else.

I'd say they were kept safe (relatively speaking) despite his incompetence. As to who'd be better... what about pretty much anyone able to beat him on a weekly basis?

You try taking him on.

Worf did win against Gowron (admittedly, probably not the greatest warrior) and got to be Chancellor for about a minute...

No one chose Pike.  :(  What a shame.  He would have been my second choice for Captain.

It's hard to be Captain when your only way to communicate is with one beep for yes and two beeps for no.

And Kirk is dead

It's a well established rule that you are free to choose your crew at whatever time they were in their prime so Pike is a good choice. :)

That is true.  But, the first time we saw Pike he was all mopey and depressed.  The second and last time we saw him he was in neck down chair with the beepey blinky light thing.  Although if NBC had given Pike and the original crew of the first pilot episode a chance I think I would have really liked them.  Though I do like Spock better in Where No Man Has Gone Before than in The Cage.
