Excellent article and video; so much i didn't know about The Netherlands even though I went to Amsterdam a year back.Keep up the good work :)

That was a fantastic read.  I also had to lawl a bit at the 'upside down nude pic'.  I did something very similar when I was around 19.   I really wish I woulda held onto that photo.

I must say the video was wrong about New Zealand. We were never part of the Dutch Empire. We were discovered by Columbus who named NZ but the Dutch NEVER settled NZ. The British did.

Out of curiosity how old is IYNO?

I think you mean Abel Tasman even though he didn't use the name it seems Dutch cartographers used Nova Zeelandia after the Dutch province of Zeeland, James Cook changed it too New Zealand

AH my bad- yeah it was Abel Tasman... I knew it was one of the big ones haha and I knew it wasn't Cook so process of elimination... chose the wrong one though! Cool, I thought it was older than that. It's awesome!
