http://news.yahoo.com/judge-weighs-legal-challenge-san-francisco-nudity-ban-030411797.html

Apparently the judge might be more lenient than I thought. The nudists might actually have a chance. If the ban gets overturned, it would be a pleasant surprise, especially coming from a group of individuals may have been mainly exhibitionists to begin with. Though it may help us and hurt them in the long run, because if San Francisco has to come up with a new law, they will be sure to tighten down on the exhibitionism part.

Well better a tighter law then an out right ban.  I mean what would be wrong with making everyone sit on a towel like clubs do.  Or allowing simple nudity but ban things like excess touching of yourself.  I think you could write a commonsense law that would allow it while still stopping the sexual aspect of it.

The ban is now in place, but nudists are trying to fight it.

ANyone know if people can go nude during Bay to Breakers or a Naked Bike Ride event?

People are allowed, but it would also be best to check with each event. Not every event might have nudity permitted.

At Bay to Breakers nudity has been going on there for decides and is pretty much accepted, so there is not much chance of the cops citing anybody for it.

With the World Naked Bike Rides it depends on the city.  In a liberal city like San Francisco or Portland, Oregon people do go full nude at the rides & have for years.  I won't try it in a more conservative city like Atlanta, GA.  You'd stand a good chance of getting in trouble with the Atlanta police.

Same thing with those gotopless protests.  Miami and NYC they really go topfree.  In some other cities they wore pasties to avoid trouble with the cops.
