Dream Band

I'm bored so I thought of a game. Its kinda similar to the 'Star Trek: Pick Your Crew' but instead it is with bands. Feel free to remove and/or add in instruments etc.

To start, here is mine (its tougher than I thought):

Vocals: Mike Ness (Social Distortion)
Lead Guitar: Johnny Ramone (The Ramones)
Rhythm Guitar: Danny Vapid (Screeching Weasel)
Bass guitar: Emma Anzai (Sick Puppies)
Drummer: Travis Barker (Blink 182)

This is UNBELIEVABLY hard but for now..:

Lead Vocals/Guitar: Mike DiMeo (Riot/Masterplan)
Lead Guitar/backing vocals: Brent Hinds (Mastodon)
Rhythm Guitar: Chad I Ginsburg (CKY)
Bass: Dave Ellefson (Megadeth)
Drums: Bran Dailor (Drums)

Drums were probably the hardest for me because I like so many drummer but Bran has an awesome speed, groove, sound, etc. Not sure about Mike DiMeo on vocal but for now I'm going with him. Recently heard some of his songs and gotta say, his voice is pretty killer!

You made some good choices, especially the bassist ;) . It's good that you chose members who would play well together too and not just the best musicians on their respective instruments that would clash and create a terrible sound.

Good choices for you to. Important thing is making a band that sounds good, not one that sounds like several bands at once. I hate having two people from the same band on this type of list but I love Mastodon and their sound. I would even put their rhythm guitarist up but I like CIG's sound. Ellefson has one of the best bass sounds in my opinions and he would fit in great. I guess I'm going more for the modern prog metal sound.

Yes and it works too. I was going for a 'melodic' punk sound.

Melodic Punk would be a great sound. Any band with Mike Ness fronting would be awesome to me.

Synyster Gates is definitely an awesome lead guitarist. Such a cool sound to his guitar!

Ronnie James Dio  !! Wish he was still around. He had one of the best voices in rock/metal.

 Very nice lineup... I almost agree with Steve Harris, but assuming he was still alive, I think I would have taken Cliff Burton instead of Harris. But no question about it, Steve is one hell of a bass player.

I tottaly agree with that, and if James Dio still alive too I would choose him as lead vocalist as well instead of Bruce
