Here in Brasil all news are thanking German team. They showed US how to play.

Germany definitely deserved they were the better team in the final and throughout the whole competition. I think they should really have won in 90 minutes, though I thought it was all over when Messi was one on one with Neuer from a tight angle but for once he missed. I don't agree with him winning the Golden Ball, I don't think he has been consistent. only showing his quality in short moments. Unfortunately it seems to have been picked on reputation rather than performance.

The Golden ball was always picked by the worlds football journalists, today when they went to vote, they were told its been changed and is now picked by the FIFA technical study group.

It was a good game with both teams creating chances. I am glad it didn't go into a penalty shoutout. I hate penalty shootouts!

P.S - The 5am kickoff for us Aussies sucked too!

I was somehow glad to see Germany too struggle against Argentina. Too bad we lost on penalties, coz Netherlands-Germany would have made for a perfect final. But, Germany won the world cup deservedly.., they had a strong game throughout the tournament.

For me, Manuel Neuer should have been considered.  Sure he won the Golden Glove, but a Golden Ball for him would've made sense too.
