Wow, I think Spain with that 2-0 loss to Chile means that they've been eliminated at the group stage. If they aren't full out eliminated, then they definitely don't control their own fates any more.

Gotta hand it to Chile.  My hat's off to them for eliminating the defending World Cup champions.

I knew Spain weren't going to win it but I thought they.would at least get to the quarter finals. The problem is they have an aging squad and they have done it all before too. They didn't seem to have any hunger or passion to win.
I became aware of my destiny: to belong to the critical minority as opposed to the unquestioning majority.

I have to say, I thought Juan Carlos abdicating the throne was a bit of an overreaction to Spain losing.  :cheesy:

I predict the Netherlands will win, not because I'm an expert on football, but because I got a free mini-football in a cereal packet with the Netherlands name and flag on it!  :cheesy:

Anybody know when Hannibal Lecter suited up for Uruguay?  Just wondering.

Can't believe how much of an idiot that guy is. To do it once is bad enough, but three times in your career? Ridiculous. Should be banned from the game for good.

On a nicer note, it was good to see the Columbian goalkeeper become the oldest player to ever play at the World Cup. He only played for 10 minutes, but still, a nice moment.
