Finishing Books
« on: June 21, 2013, 10:34:42 pm »
Hi Everyone,

I've been realizing that my to-read list is growing exponentially, so I really wanted to ask for some tips on how to get though more books faster? Any way that you have been able to discipline yourselves into starting a book when a computer/tv is easier to get to? I feel like I really love reading but just picking up a book is the hardest part. Any suggestions?

Just learn to enjoy the time you spend reading rather than wish you were already finished.

Maybe you're just not reading the right books? If it's captivating enough, you'll have no problem finishing it. Maybe try committing to read one chapter a night before going to bed.

But, it depends on a book. I starded to read one book some time ago, and can't finish reading, because the second part really bored me. This book was a present, so I have not choose that  :)

My suggestion is - choose the right book :)
If my English was not good, please corect me :)

When I reaaly want to read, I've to options:

1) Going on my bed;
2) Taking the bus, pass time somewhere, retaking the bus. Depending on the time passed in transport, I can read about 50 to 70 pages.

You should chose a time of the day for reading, no matter what!
Half an hour, one hour... depends on you! After a while it will become necessary and you'll enjoy more and get through more books easily
