Taking the pledge is easy.  Just follow these simple steps:


Grab your favorite book (a real, tangible book – no e-books!)
Take off your clothes
Place your right hand on your favorite book and say the following:
“I understand that reading is a ritual that is important for the sensual and intellectual development of the human race.  I believe in the importance and tangibility of this ritual and will show my level of belief by setting aside time on July 5th to celebrate in my own way, but which will absolutely involve the removal of my clothing and the reading of a book.  I pledge to uphold Read Naked Day as sacred and encourage those I know to do the same.”

In a comical sense, I don't think the character in the drawing was able to read much of that book due to poor holding posture.
