Pacific Rim

This movie is awesome! The action scenes are fantastic and there’s a surprising amount of decent character development. I liked the fact that I didn’t recognize many of the principle actors because it helped me see them as characters. It also seemed to draw a lot of inspiration from mecha anime, what with the giant monsters and robots and all.

My new favorite movie of the summer.

To be honest, I was going to avoid this movie. It doesn't really look my kind of thing. But, I may give it a chance now.
