My 15 year old car has a manual transmission and I just switched to a brand new single speed bike as my daily commuter.

I love the sound of my pocket watch. The ones which have to rewind for a days worth. I like how the small sound coming from the clock echoes through my room at night.

I like books - as in actual paper things that you read.

Those too.  :azn:

I pulled out my old Gameboy Color recently. Lets face it, you can't get the same experience on a touchscreen emulator.

I have all of my dad's vinyl records . . . and the turntable needed to play them . . . used frequently

likewise his cassette tapes . . . and the tape deck component for the stereo system . . . used less often than the turntable

also his 35mm SLR camera and all the gear that goes with it . . . fun to use if you don't mind thinking . . . used infrequently because I'm not keen on photography of any kind

when I go hiking I always take a compass with me even though I also take a GPS unit . . . if the satellite constellation goes wonky the GPS is no good but the compass is good unless the Earth's magnetic field goes wonky . . . if the Earth's magnetic field goes wonky I'm sure I will have larger issues to concern me

I have a spring-driven pendulum-regulated clock in my bedroom because I like the sound of it . . . the heartbeat of time

my car is very new (2012) but I bought it with a manual transmission because I like them better

and I'm still using a PC that runs (Gasp!) XP

The calculator I use at work, an HP-48G, was introduced in 1990.  With RPN mode, a good equation library, and easy unit conversion the thing is just so useful.

My old VCR. I have some 90's NBA games recorded, and lately I've been seeing the good old age of basketball, when Jordan was  (and still is) the real king of Basketball. Shaq was THE most dominant center in the league, Kobe was just starting out, Penny Hardaway was considered the next Magic Johnson, and Barkley, Malone, Stockton, Ewing, Drexler were in pursuit if that Illusive NBA title. Nothing like the good old age of basketball... and of VCR's

Let's run off ye ole' checklist...

* I still run Windows XP.

* I drive a Taurus that dates all the way back to 1993.  Believe it or not, the vehicle only *just* crossed the 100k mile threshold.

* I still use a flip-phone.

* My professional sound-card and webcam are roughly 10 years old.

* One of my main hobbies is kicking back and listening to music on a (dedicated) stereo system.

* One of my audio components (the CD player) uses 40 year-old Russian Vacuum tubes.

* I still run, and will continue to run 'desktop' computers for as long as the components are made available.
