Google Play Music vs Spotify

That's the question. I was a heavy user of Spotify until I tested Google Play Music. It's better for me. Better mobile app and the possibility to upload your own songs. What's your opinion?

You need a Google account. The basic service is for free. If you want to use the unlimited streaming option you have to pay the subscription. The service is working since some months ago, but it's recently online in Spain.

I use Spotify and I love it. They have a lot of songs and well worth paying for if you have a smart phone. Even the free plan, which is just on PC and radio, is great. I recommend paying the money for Spotify.

It's working in Spain since a few days ago. And I love it. The same catalogue that Spotify. With the option of upload you own files...

Unlikely to ever happen here in Germany. Rightholders and the organizations that represent them have been very successful in preventing services like Netflix and such to ever gain any momentum here, and the musical rights organization is easily the worst of them all.
