Heeey peeps of the internet

I'm just wondering if anyone has seen or likes the Studio Ghibli animes that are out? Personally I think they are the best things ever, so brilliant and compelling to watch. i feel like I'm taken away to a new world lol.

Anyone else seen them?

Great stuff, completely different from Disney mainstream...
Many girls prefer Miyazaki stuff!

I'm dying for Ponyo to come to DVD/BR! Although Only Yesterday still has yet to get released in the US, only been shown on TCM.

I'm a fan too!  I had a still from Howl's Moving Castle as my sig on another forum for quite some time prior to the film's commercial release.

Here's an excerpt from my review:

This is a true masterpiece. Every frame is an exquisite work of art, filled with imagination. The voices are excellent, and the music by Joe Hisaishi is great.

My favorite line comes after Sophie mixes up the potion bottles in Howl's shower. Howl comes running out of the shower with his hair going through a variety of color changes. Howl is distraught: "I see no point in living if I can't be beautiful."

Also, don't forget Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (1982)

shameless commercial plug: You can buy these at my amazon store
