Upholstery usually needs to be redone and then body work and paint. Restoring cars is something you do for love because (as a rule) you aren't going to get your money back out of them.
The idea is you do the repairs (most of them anyway) yourself so other than tracking down the parts (not cheap) the only expense is your time and the skin on your knuckles.
I'd love to do this! Im planning on getting my motorcycle license this summer!
