More than likely get stopped, plus bare bum on leather seats is nasty during any season. In the summer you get burned and in the winter you freeze

Strangely enough, I give that name to anything when it doesn't work.

Hahahaha! Lol. I think issues arise to anything that has moving gears and stuff. I bet you guys at least have some basic mechanical skills to fix your car/bike like i do, right?.

Yeah - that's the problem. I like doing it and I'm too cheap to pay anyone else to do it and I don't usually have a lot of time to work on it so by the time I get one thing done (carbs) something else (fork seals) is gone on it.

I'm behind the 8-ball so I might just take it to a mechanic come spring.

Is what expensive?
The cars? Not usually
Restoring them? Yep

Parts are difficult to find - then when you get them you still have to repair them and polish them. Upholstery usually needs to be redone and then body work and paint. Restoring cars is something you do for love because (as a rule) you aren't going to get your money back out of them.

The idea is you do the repairs (most of them anyway) yourself so other than tracking down the parts (not cheap) the only expense is your time and the skin on your knuckles.

I love roadtrips on my motorcycle!  I did a cross-country trip last year, and I intend to do another this May, after the spring semester lets out.

Cool, and good luck!  It's very enjoyable and rewarding.  Just be careful out there!  Ride safe, and keep it rubber-side down!
Slaínte,

Paul
