Parkour - Freerunning - Street workout
« on: November 03, 2013, 01:32:48 pm »
:098 ok guys and girls, you can't tell me that among all this young naturists there is no parkour or freerunners?!
I first started parkour this summer. My town has great places where you can work on your skills and see where it can take you. And I have a big problen with the kong vault since it always results with dirt or grass eating (not so tasty).

There is a little element of street workout, so did anyone else try that?
I will show you madness.. and bunnies.. it is the same thing..

I'm good at freerunning in the Assassin's Creed video games.

Does that count? :345678

bunnyema, after reading your post I searched for information about parkour.

I found plenty of stuff.

The most impressive is this post from a group of free runners near Paris.
http://firstpkf.wordpress.com/2012/09/05/parkour-milieu-naturel/

They wrote an article in their blog.

Google Translation:

"We train in Parkour most often in urban areas , but we forget that the discipline has started moving there for thousands of years in the woods

"Forests , stimulate our senses more subtle than our modern urban environments. Sounds in nature are quieter, but more subtly layered. Our vision is wider, our sense of touch is thinner , our sense of smell is more acute . Surrounded by nature , our perception is shifting its default setting. Thus, as soon as we start out in nature we return more to our natural state of consciousness and perception. Discover the natural tendency of your body to move in the external environment in which the obstacles are not properly aligned and that the order of things is ruled by chaos .

"An increasing number of child psychologists and education experts noted that taking regular time in nature is vital for cognitive and emotional development of children in addition to their physical well -being.
This requirement of nature is not widely grown in our modern lifestyle and our training methods. But it is in our biological allegedly plans. Nature remains the default value of our senses and our physical skills."

They made a video.

The guy is bare-chested.

He could have finished like this hehe:

So, parkour is philosophically compatible with naturism, as you have to respect your body to master it, and has ties with nature.

Someone here already tried parkour naked?

This week, I had my first time trying parkour. There is another guy in Uni who is trying to gather a group. I have wanted to try parkour for so long - and now I got my first taste of it. Hopefully I can learn more, but since it is in the urban environment and now our urban environments are covered in snow and ice - there is a slight problem.  :undecided:

I sooo need to start parkour.  I've researched and looked into it and it's something I will like to do but I would like to do it with a group than with myself.  I also need to find a good location to do it...

Well.. When I first started all I needed was stairs ( at least 10 ), a small wall (under knees) and some grass :) you use the stairs to warm up and get your legs ready to rock. Go up and down on one leg or every third one or walk like a dog up and down. Use the wall to try the jumps, the landing and first kong ( it is easier since the worst you can do is eat a little grass :) ) , and use grass as perfect mat for rollouts.. there is no need to start with the flips.. go small and you will see the results soon. You can use a wall that is just under your chin for climbing skills. And use bars to work on your arms.   Start small and start safe.

I almost forgot.. If you are ashamed as I first was ("look at that crazy girl trying to kill herself.. she is so clumsy") train when the night falls or early in the morning.

And here is a guy who shows it slowly:

I live in the country but I have a small wooded area I could train in.  (then I don't have to worry about people seeing me fail!)

I'm going to try out the location tomorrow morning!  I will post a report about my attempt tomorrow night.   (maybe I should try to locate my parkour training manual I bought a while back)

Thanks for the link!  It's inspiring me to go out and do parkour!!
