I do not have a car at the moment. But I´ve some motorcycles :-)

Some kind of modern naked bike, easy to handle!

...and an old dirty italian railway with great sound and really no spectacular performance.

Oh right, sounds complicated when differant states have differant laws like that.

Each state in Australia has different laws on when you can drive. In my state, Victoria, you can get your Learner's Permit at age 16 and a Probationary Licence at 18, but only if you have logged 120 hours of driving in different conditions when on your Learner's. There are two stages to the Probationary Licence in Victoria, but you are on a Probationary Licence for at least 4 years. This type of licence has conditions on the Blood Alcohol Content, number of passengers, the power to weight ratio of the car, but no speed restrictions (apart from the sign posted limits) like other states.
In SA, when i got my licence, it was L's at 16, then 6 months and 50 driving hours later you can get your P's(as you can see in the window of my car), they have now new laws that say u have your L's for 12 months and more driving hours, and L's and P's cannot drive performance cars, like a V8 or anything with a turbo. But luckily i got my licence before then, so i can have a V8 or turbo :P

Our rules are so complicated :S

This is my baby when I first picked her up. I learned to drive with a Crown Vic and loved them ever since! Everything under the hood is mint. As for the interior.. not so much.. It's very bare, but that just means I can do what I want with the interior much easier!

I plan on doing a lot to this car. So far only the suspension and brakes have been upgraded and a couple headlight/sidemarker mods. Next thing is dimming down the cop look(aka cosmetics) haha. A black paint job, as well as new wheels & rims are in store sometime this Fall. Then it'll be back under the hood!

Nice cars and bikes everyone! @xgsft, Love that '80 Scirocco! Nice find!

Nah, keep the cop car look!

Black paint over white is asking for trouble. Unless you pay about $5,000 for the paint job, there will be either little white lines where the masking tape didn't quite reach window trim, etc. or else black paint where you didn't want it.

Also, stone chips on the hood will drive you crazy.

Yeah, I've been debating the paint job. Either way it needs to be stripped down to the metal. 2003 CV's are known to peel without mercy(or recall) and mine has some roof damage. So there would be no paint left. I've got a $2,000 quote from a local guy I've known, and not a tape-off. I'm not going for some Maaco job. So it'll be either a new coat of the the same white, or a black. Like you said, the chips would drive me crazy. And a white car is easiest to keep shiny clean, black being the opposite. You've put me on the fence again! Haha

Cars all go to the junkyard in the end. I don't know how many miles are on it, but $2,000 sounds like a lot of money to spend. If it's just the roof that's peeling, I'd probably spend $500 to paint the roof and call it a day.
