Any other mechanics out here?
« on: July 03, 2014, 09:59:41 pm »
Since I'm only 14, it is very limited what I can do. But I work on a farm, and I am the unofficial mechanic in the workplace. There is this dumbass who keeps screwing up the mowers, so I mostly fix up those. Learned every thing I know from my unofficial mentor, who died of cancer last year.

Not a mechanic by trade but I restore classic cars as a hobby. I know my way around an engine.

I consider myself a "shadetree" mechanic. I have apprenticed for an A&P mechanic.

Not a mechanic but I consider myself to be mechanically inclined. If we have a problem with a car or small engine vehicles, im usually able to work out the problems and find a solution. Its a great skill to have and develop.

I can't really do much with newer cars but I helped my granddad restore a 1949 Studebaker Pick-up truck.  I learned a lot!

I've been known to fix the odd toaster, '86 prelude or coil injector.
Why do you ask? Just a roll call or would you like to discuss mechanicin'?

I would like to bring over from USA a De that needs serious work doing to her and bring her back but I lack some of the skills to do this.  Need a garage also plus upteem spare hours I cannot find with everything else I do.
