I've listened to many a good film score and obviously my favorite composer is John Williams, but since everyone else is marking off by composer, here goes. I will go a step further by listing the composers from least to most preferable, but the scores themselves are in no particular order. (Based on what I heard of theirs which (except for Mr Williams, Randy Newman and Brian Tyler) is somewhat limited)

Michael Giacchino:
Rogue 1
Up

Hans Zimmer:
The Lion King
Pirates of the Caribbean

Alan Menken:
Beauty and the Beast
Aladdin (R.I.P. Robin Williams)

Howard Shore
Lord of the Rings

Nandy Rewman:
Basically everything he gave Pixar
Monk (I know it's not a film, but the AH Lads quote the theme all the time)

Danny Elfman:
Batman
Alice in Wonderland
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
The Nightmare before Christmas

Brian Tyler:
Fast and Furious
The 2nd phase of the MCU
Formula One (again, not a movie, but just as heart pumping)

John Williams:
Harry Potter
Star Wars (To the Prequel trilogy haters, the score was epicly awesome)
ET
Jurassic Park
Indiana Jones

Das Boot (1981) - Klaus Doldinger

A WWII submarine embarks on a perilous mission...

Listen to it. It's only a couple of minutes long, but it kicks in properly half way through and always sends a shiver down my spine.

Cloud Atlas
-always puts me in my emotions, i cant help but cry

The Great Gatsby
-so great to have a modern twist with an older vibe

Deathproof
-just a nice tone through the entire thing
