The latest episode was a little dull. The novelty of seing inside a darlek wore off very quickly and the rest of the  plot was thin. Why was the darlek landing party only three darleks? Would have gone more their way if theyed sent a few more from that MASSIVE starship

More nonsensical than thin. Better than the previous one, but not Moffat's best writing for sure.

Has he ever done good writing? Demons run would suggest not.

Of course, he wrote some of my favourite. Blink. The girl in the fireplace. The empty child.

What about Blink? You can't not like Blink.

No blink was ace. Never thought the weeping angels needed revisiting though.

Pretty sure I'm the only person in the nerd universe who doesn't particularly enjoy Doctor Who.

This week Clara gave us a very heavy-handed message against abortions before ignoring democracy and telling an alien to stop breathing our air and go away. Is Doctor Who sponsored by UKIP now?

Seriously, that was a terrible episode.

All caught up on episodes now! Writing's just a tad ham-fisted this series...

Listen and Time Heist were great episodes though.

And Capaldi shines even in the bad episodes.

The whole idea of killing the only one of its species in the universe is getting a bit over-used now. Especially as they just used it in Time-heist, and also the beast below at the start of Matt Smith's adventures.

I liked the previous episode with the Janitor. Listen was also good but left quite a bit unresolved.

Capaldi is good but I think the writers are running out of ideas.

For time heist, the journey was more interesting than the destination, that's for sure. But I still count it as a very good one. The caretaker was good too. I especially liked the sign "Go Away Humans".

In killing the moon, the plot made even less sense than usual. The moon is getting 6 times heavier because a baby is suddenly growing outside of it? No one ever noticed it was made of egg shells?

The resolution was extremely poor. « So I guess we did choose extermination of the entire human species. Oh look at that, Deus Ex Machina. »

Capaldi is good but I think the writers are running out of ideas.

Indubitably. And we're still on Moffat's favourite trope : Women are not people, they're mysteries.

There is a problem with the current series and its name is Clara. They keep bringing it all back to her and she's BORING. She's too perfect, inconsistent (one minute she knows just what to do or say, the next she needs to be told what to do), being developed too little too late, and EXTREMELY dull. In fact, my brother's compared her to Rose and I agree. She is Rose II Turbo, and Danny is Mickey-Lite. Diet Mickey. Mickey Zero. The stories aren't that great this series either.

No complaints about Capaldi's Doctor though. I like him. He's partly why I'm still onboard.
Embrace your inner lunatic. Fun times guaranteed.
