Anyone else been watching this series?

I will admit that while I did like Season 1, it didn't completely thrill me.  But Season 2 did not disappoint.  Definitely left an interesting set-up for the next season.

I give major props to the casting director for casting Zach MacGowan as Charles Vane.  He's playing the role how I envisioned what the real Vane was based on historical accounts: A homicidal sociopath.  Had been skeptical about the blending of a prequel to Treasure Island intermixed with real history, but so far it is working.

Definitely gonna be excited for Season 3 with the introduction of Blackbeard and Ray Stevenson in the role.
