I never really thought about it before but even in a lot of cartoons they make it look as if being seen naked is shameful, wrong and something that's embarrassing and should be avoided at all costs.

Most of the time yes, unless the characters are animals, in which case it doesn't matter. Although there was one that one Rugrats episode where Tommy took to naturism to be like Spike.

LOL I actually remember watching that episode.
As for animals in some cartoons even they are shown to feel shame and embarrassment for being nude and then there is a show called almost naked animals where the male animals wear undies and the famales wear undies and a bra.
