Finally started The Wire. It's quite slow but I'm afraid it won't get better. Only watched the first episode so I probably need to watch a few more to get sense of it.

I’ve not seen The Wire but I’ve seen shows that I try to watch and had to give up on either because of that or too fast and I can’t keep up to understand what’s going on.

I just watched The Wire for the first time a few months ago after hearing from so many people that it's the best show ever made. I started it and felt like you do now, that it's really slow and I didn't understand all the praise. It was just not what I was expecting at all, but I continued watching and started to enjoy it more and more. By the third season I loved it but I still don't think it's the best show ever. I think it's good and worth continuing but manage your expectations lol

I’m in agreement with you but not only that I don’t like the OTT bloodbaths these types of shows included, not just game of thrones but Spartacus and Star Trek discovery first season
