I just started watching a couple of new shows that premiered in the fall: All American, Manifest, and God Friended Me.
All American is a great show that's like The O.C. meets Friday Night Lights meets Boyz n the Hood. All of the actors are fantastic in a good fish out of water story and awesome football scenes throughout. I'm not a fan of all the high school drama but being on The CW, that comes with the territory and it's not too much to make me not like the show.
Manifest isn't really a good show, the writing isn't very good especially the terrible dialogue, but I like the concept and the mystery has me hooked so I'm sticking with it to try and find out what the hell is going on! I just hope they actually have an answer and this isn't a repeat of Lost.
When I first heard about God Friended Me, I thought the title was so stupid. Then I read what it was about and that confirmed my original thoughts on it, it sounded like such a dumb show with a really lame premise. I gave the pilot a shot and actually thought it was ok, much better than I thought it would be. After watching a few more, I love this show! Similar to Manifest, the mystery has me hooked because I wanna know who is behind the God account and how they're doing this miraculous stuff, but it's not just that. It's the way I feel after every episode that I love. It is the most uplifting show I've ever seen. Every episode leaves you feeling so happy and positive with a smile on your face and sometimes tears of joy. If you wanna watch something that will put you in a good mood and if you can get past the lame title and concept, give this show a watch.
