Just started watching The Blacklist with my girlfriend.  I've seen it once, but don't remember a good deal of it.  We're just coming up to the end of season one.

Been contemplating watching that. How has season one been so far?

I've been watching that myself over the past few months. It's not the kind of thing I would usually watch, but it fills in the gaps between other stuff I'm more interested in, especially now that the waits between seasons and episodes has increased a lot in recent years.

I like it better than the original that BBC filmed in 1978-1980s. The shows are based on the books written by James Wight aka James Herriot. He wasn't allowed to use his real name as regulation prevented vets from any form of advertising. Although Jim Herriot was a Scottish football player back then so idk how he got away with that 😂

I don't know if you've seen the most recent season where the war ends but the village Mrs Hall is living in (supposedly Sunderland) is Beamish Open Air museum in Durham. The railway station where she learns that the war is over is at Keighley and Worth Valley in West Yorkshire. I've been to both places years ago. I'd like to visit the village they use in the show sometime.

I've had that on my list for a while now. I suppose this is my cue to finally watch it.
