What beach may soon allow nude sunbathing?
« on: June 23, 2015, 04:03:27 pm »
Nude sunbathing soon may be an attraction in St. Lucie County, TCPALM is reporting this morning.

Allowing topless or nude visitors to Blind Creek Beach is being supported by Toni Anne “T.A.” Wyner, a resident of Sunnier Palms Nudist Park west of the Florida’s Turnpike.

Wyner is using social media to push her cause. She’s created the Friends of Blind Creek Beach Facebook page and a website.

“We’re wanting to be nude on one section of one of the county’s 26 public beaches,” Wyner told TCPALM on Friday. “We’re not asking for anything more.”

The 50-acre beach on the Indian River Lagoon already is known for being a clothes-off stretch of sand. On Friday, a reporter found dozens of people swimming and sunbathing in the nude.

The beach features biking trails, birding, hiking, and a fishing pier, according to the St. Lucie County government website.

Yeah, I've been following this unfold since the first petition went up! I'm really proud and happy about the way it's turned out so far ^_^
