Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

After nearly 15 years i started a new Pen and Paper Game and as the Subject Name tells you it is the new Star Wars RPG by Fantasy Flight Games.

Is anybody playing it too?!

Its actually quite good. Has been a long time since i last played an Pen&Paper Game but as an old SW Nerd that was my opportunity 

It started with "Edge of the Empire" and those classes:


    Bounty Hunter: Assassin, Gadgeteer, Survivalist
    Colonist: Doctor, Politico, Scholar, Entrepreneur, Marshal, Performer
    Explorer: Fringer, Scout, Trader, Archaeologist, Big-Game Hunter, Driver
    Hired Gun: Bodyguard, Marauder, Mercenary Soldier, Demolitionist, Enforcer, Heavy
    Smuggler: Pilot, Scoundrel, Thief, Charmer, Gambler, Gunslinger
    Technician: Mechanic, Outlaw Tech, Slicer
    Universal: Force Sensitive Exile

in 2014 the second part of the intended Game Trilogy hit the shelves with

Age of Rebellion

    Ace: Driver, Gunner, Pilot, Beast Rider, Hotshot, Rigger
    Commander: Commodore, Squadron Leader, Tactician
    Diplomat: Agitator, Ambassador, Quartermaster, Advocate, Analyst, Propagandist

    Universal: Force Sensitive Emergent, Recruit

and finally in 2015 the last Part arrived

Wright now we are only playing in the core rule book of EOTE and just started some weeks ago but i really enjoy it

How many players is it for?

I played in a short campaign when I was still living in Germany. I prefer the Age of Rebellion myself, which is also by FFG and centers more around the classical saga (i.e. Rebels vs Empire). Edge of the Empire is compatible with Age of Rebellion however.  Which makes sense, seeing that Han Solo begins as a smuggler and ends up a General by Episode VI.

Is there a variant of it that can be played online?

Hmm, thats a good question indeed. I dont know if there is even an limit for players. I play in a group with 2 others and the Gamemaster. But i know Groups wich are 6-8 people too, so i think that depends on the Gamemaster and his ability to guide that big crowd ;)

Is there a variant of it that can be played online?

There is Star Wars The Old Republic as an MMORPG Version but has nothing to do with the Pen&Paper Game i told u about.

Hy there, actually the "Skype-version" was the next plan on my list ;)

I am still learning the "basic-rules" for Force and Destiny and creating a Story Arc for our Edge of the Empire Chars to be able to be Force Sensitiv and able to use Lightsabers but i am up for Ideas and maybe an online Version ;)
