In the forum makeover I added some additional languages that you can choose for your profile. German, French and Dutch this will only change the nuts and bots, the boards, threads and posts will still be in their original language.

Simply go to Profile -> Account Settings and then go to Preferred Language and choose
I'm everywhere and nowhere

Phew... found it a bit awkward to respond in German on an international forum outside a German-specific area. Basically, I wonder about the benefit, what with the actual discussion content, topic headlines and what not still being in English. The mix just seems weird to me. Well, at least it is better than all those sites that try to serve me a German version just because my IP address happens to be from Germany.
Please send me a message on the forum before contacting me over IM. For best results, also mention what you want to talk about, I am not much of a smalltalker.

Properly very little benefit since yes everything else will still be in English but if you want your profile in German now you can

If nothing else, I do think it shows some consideration to people that English isn't their first language.

And that's reason enough.

if the german translation is good, ok, i dont complain. but i stick to english or the original if the translation sucks or is updated once a year.

und jetzt versuch ich mal die deutsche version :-)

a quick review on the german language. there is a normal version and an informal version, i would implement rather the informal.

and this applies to all other languages i think, some icons are missing:
