Im with @boris but will add The Doors to that list.

The Doors, spot on with that one Danee.  I would like to have seen Alice in Chains before Jerry Cantrell left to start his solo career.

Atari Teenage Riot's original lineup. They're not the same now...still good, but definitely NOT the same band I grew up listening to, for sure. I was just too young at the time.

Yeah, when you really sit down and think about it, it does feel overwhelming, doesn't it?

Probably Led Zep - or the Beatles - who inspired so many...

Bowie

Although I did see him once do a few songs at work, I would love to see a full concert.

King Freddie's live vocals would have given me such life.

Nirvana is the first one to pop into my head. The Who would be great to see as well but really there are just so many to list.

REM! I'm surprised nobody has mentioned them!

Would have loved to have seen Oasis more too! Only saw them once, but it was still epic!
Good call!

Not to be morbid, but my answer to this question today is Christina Grimmie. I always knew she was insanely talented in every respect as a musician (vocally, instrumentally, soulfully), but damn, I thought she had way more of a career ahead of her. :'(
