Naturism? In MY Disney? It's more common than you think.
« on: February 29, 2016, 11:16:07 pm »
So, Disney's latest film, Zootopia (or Zootropolis in my neck of the woods for some reason), features a scene with our anthropomorphic protagonists apparently unknowingly visiting a 'naturalist club' run by a yak.

Thoughts, anyone? Cheap joke? Clever joke?
Embrace your inner lunatic. Fun times guaranteed.

asking the correct questions as ever Nathan

Well... from my research (and it's been extensive) i would say around 60% of the population... is it a coincidence that sofa sales are at an all time high ! it's only the aliens running the peruvian government (who secretly control the world i should add) who keep this information from us to stop us forming a union and rising up to take our world back from the peruvian alien menice

I do try.

And thank you for this information, I shall now sit on my sofa and lick myself with pride and honour!
(That sounded kinda weird)

(Merged)

Have to say that my impression of the movie was great for this. Pretty much right out of the bat it starts out funny. Watching a determined young bunny follow her life dreams can be inspiring through out the whole movie to a fan of any age. Also shows how animals (people) from almost any walk of life can come together for the overall greater good.

As also mentioned by @Mark, there is a nudist club in the movie as well. Able to see his post about it so I won't hit much on it. It's not tacky and in good taste for most of it as well.

As with many Disney children movies, there are many jokes in it that you might get where you average child will not, but they are not completely bad. Maybe make for some funny conversations later as the kids get a little older.

At the same time, the movie also builds an awesome story. You'll laugh. You'll tear up. You'll really start feeling like you know them in and out. And leaving it at the end you'll be feeling really warm. There is a small bit of it being open ended that hopefully we'll be seeing a Zootopia 2 in the future.

Overall, my personal rating for this is a 9. Will be a 10 when I see it again in 3D. xD

Why do we drive on the parkway, and park on the driveway?

The opening scene of Disney's Pollyanna shows kids skinny dipping, was not as uncommon then for studios to show scenes like this back then.

I watched it when it came out. I loved it. I would have been cool if Judy and nick went back.

High hopes for that in the next movie.
