Good read. In fact, the first picture (Where you can see a lot sculptures on the wall) are actually gods and goddesses partially & sometimes fully naked indulging in lovemaking. Some of the sculptures are actually very graphic. And these are the walls of temples which means that naked human body and the act of love making was considered pure and holy, even worthy of worship. No wonder Kama Sutra was invented here!
Infact, the shiv ling (Picture attached) is a symbol of love and creation which is hugely worshiped in India even today. The cylindrical shape that you see represents Shiva's penis and the round shape represents Parvati 's (Shiva's wife) vagina. The positioning of the two obviously represents the act of copulation, an act done to create life.
Seems like the Indians had it all figured out when it came to human body. But all that seems to have lost somewhere now. Its a pity really.
