RE-REVIEW OF AVATAROk, I went to see Avatar again today as my friend hadn't seen it yet, and I wanted to see it again, because when I went to see The Dark Knight, the first time I was dissapointed too
but now its one of my favourite movies ever
So I went to see if Avatar would do the same. Also, this time I was going to see it in 3D
First off, James Cameron has perfected the Art of 3D Cinema for now. Disney has taken a few swings at it, but its always been too enforced and all over the place. But Cameron has definitely hit a home run here. He uses it to enhance the visual art of Pandora, and it's just always their in the background, enhancing our viewing experience, if they weren't fantastic enough already
As for everything else, still just meh :/. This time I realised that the ending in my view let it down. Everything was built up for a massive fighting climax, but I just wasn't feeling it
Overall, my opinion hasn't changed. Visually astounding but take away James Cameron's 12 long years of work to visually make this movie happen, and what have you got left?...
It's now number 1!
And yes it is the number 1 grossing movie of all time, but that doesn't count for inflation. When you do take infaltion in to acccount, it's only No.25 :S
