I've never owned or played one, but I like the idea. I think it's one of those things that is useful to a point--probably very good for learning chords, rhythm, maybe some slow lead. One thing it can't teach you is creativity and improvisation, though.

Yeah, that's for sure. I imagine there comes a point that whatever song you're learning just gets too fast and it's impossible to keep up with the flashing LEDs. At that point all you have is a light show to use on stage.  :laughing
