What the heck is math rock?

This is a new sub genre that is a bit of a leftover. I like to divide it into two separate categories. The first of which is instrumental style. This is a more relaxed and smooth feeling with allot of jazzy  rifts and fast beats. It is fairly well put together and just feels like it is made with a since of anime in a future jazz festival. The next section is lyrical. Now what the heck. How do you put words to something so... different? Well ask a post punk band to do it and they make it a new muse. Most of the music I can find is around the post punk style with some interesting hooks. I am currently working on a playlist for your pleasure but here are a few that I enjoy alot.
instrumental:

Lyrical:

Always seek Truth, dont let anything stop you.
